Best for
- Repeat product runs
- Small workshops moving beyond one-offs
- Buyers comparing throughput constraints
Watch for
- Maximum speed is not output per hour
- Fixture and handling time consume capacity
- Mixed materials may require separate machines

| Enclosure / class context | Vendor manual states Class 1 system | Enclosed cabinet; normal-use system class was not established in the reviewed evidence | Full-metal enclosed system; vendor states FDA Class 1 | Open marking format; official manual warns there is no protective housing |
| Ventilation context | Exact installation and extraction must follow current manual | Official manual lists an 80 CFM exhaust fan and requires functioning exhaust; external filtration is not assumed | Official manual directs outdoor venting or a suitable WeCreat extractor; longer hose can weaken extraction | Material-dependent dedicated extraction may be required; no extractor is assumed included |
| Machine dimensions | Not established in the reviewed evidence | 1,000 × 690 × 285 mm | 680 × 530 × 253–393 mm | 400 × 330 × 620 mm |
| Published weight | Not established in the reviewed evidence | 41 kg net | 21 kg | 16.6 kg net |
| Rotary compatibility | Not established in the reviewed evidence | Official manual supports a rotary fixture for objects up to a stated 124 mm diameter/height; current US product variants do not include it | Rotary Pro compatible | Rotary supported; an optional rotary-axis variant was listed at $4,176.37 on 3 Sep 2026 |
| Electrical / cooling | Not established in the reviewed evidence | 110–120 V, 60 Hz North America; 600 W listed consumption · Product title says built-in water cooling; the official manual specifies an external 3,000 L/h water pump. Confirm the shipped configuration. | Not established in the reviewed evidence | 110–120 V, 60 Hz US configuration · Air cooled |

US autofocus Pro price observed 3 Sep 2026; the lower $3,900 option is manual-focus, not the same configuration |
| Warranty context | Verify current regional policy and exact configuration | Product badge says two years, but the current general policy does not explicitly name the 65 W model; confirm before purchase | 12 months; vendor states 30-day return window | Product page lists two years for the machine and one year for the laser source |
Choose by batch family
For acrylic or wood sheet batches, compare documented CO₂ bed area, pass-through limits, cooling and exhaust. For identified opaque goods, an enclosed diode may fit. For repeat bare-metal marks, compare conventional fiber or MOPA work areas, fixtures and controlled-station requirements.
A multi-material catalog is not proof that a single hybrid machine is operationally best. Separate stable production lanes can be easier to control and cost.
Measure the full cycle
Finished units per hour include file preparation, loading, autofocus or focus checks, alignment, processing, unloading, inspection, cleaning, packing and maintenance. Record the bottleneck instead of translating a vendor movement-speed maximum into revenue capacity.
Use a pilot batch of the exact product and configuration before accepting volume. EtchCompass does not claim hands-on throughput for the listed machines.
Capacity-limited economics
The ROI calculator caps modeled orders at the capacity implied by user-entered available hours and cycle time. This prevents an infeasible sales plan from inflating operating contribution or shortening payback.
Stress-test lower utilization, scrap, rework, filter replacement and downtime. A positive modeled contribution is not proof of demand or profit.
Who should choose neither
Wait when the batch material is unidentified, fixtures require disabled interlocks, the delivery route or bench cannot support the machine, or extraction and electrical requirements are unresolved.
If order demand is not established, price contract production or a smaller complete workflow before committing to a larger system.
Never use vendor maximum speed as products per hour. Validate the complete cycle and the exact finished-quality requirement.
