Cost and break-even model

Every result below is arithmetic from your entries—not a demand or income forecast.

Potential missing costs

machine price, mandatory accessories/extraction, shipping, duties or tax, maintenance reserve. Confirm whether each is truly zero.

All-in acquisition$0.00
24-month TCO$0.00
Monthly fixed cost$0.00
Production cost / good unit$0.00
CONTRIBUTIONEnter business inputsNet realized revenue minus variable cost per order
BREAK-EVENEnter business inputsCovers monthly fixed cost; excludes demand certainty.

Use total machine and accessory electrical input, not optical laser watts. Owner labor may be entered as zero, but the model then excludes the value of owner time. Financing interest belongs in TCO; do not count loan principal twice.

How the tool decides

Ownership cost adds machine, mandatory controls/accessories, delivery/tax, installation and recurring fixed costs across the selected horizon.

The optional business mode calculates saleable yield, production cost, net realized revenue, contribution, fixed-cost break-even, capacity and scenario payback. Payback appears only when the user-entered capacity-limited monthly operating result is positive.

What it cannot prove

  • It does not forecast demand, selling price, sales growth or profit.
  • Missing costs cannot be assumed to be zero without confirmation.
  • Current exchange rates are not fetched; use one currency throughout.
  • Financing, tax and accounting treatment may require professional advice.
