Start with construction
A named plywood product with supplier documentation is more useful than the word plywood. Core gaps, adhesive chemistry and face veneer can change cut consistency and fumes. MDF also requires exact composition and model guidance.
Pressure-treated, preservative-treated, painted or unidentified coated wood should not enter the compatibility shortlist without authoritative documentation and manufacturer support.
Production evidence beats a maximum claim
Record clean-cut yield, charring, flame behavior, cycle time and scrap on your exact stock under the manufacturer’s documented workflow. A maximum single-pass thickness is not a neutral capacity rating.
Plan extraction, bed cleaning and continuous supervision before estimating throughput.
